American Evaluation Association (AEA)

The American Evaluation Association (AEA) isan international professional association of evaluatorsdevoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technologyevaluation, and many other forms of evaluation. Theassociation was formed in 1986 with the merger of the Evaluation Network and the Evaluation ResearchSociety. AEA's mission is to improve evaluation practices and methods, increase evaluation use, promoteevaluation as a profession, and support the contribution of evaluation to the generation of theory andknowledge about effective human action. AEA has approximately 3000 members, representing all 50 statesin the United States, as well as many other countries.
