Using Memoing for Theory Building to Analyse Moves in Online Teacher Chat
This dataset is designed for teaching memoing in qualitative research analysis. The data are provided by Dr. Andrew Boon from Toyo Gakuen University, Japan, and are taken from his doctoral study. It describes three types of memos he created when conducting a move analysis of online text chat that involved teachers exploring and seeking ways to overcome particular research or teaching obstacles. The dataset files are accompanied by a Teaching Guide and a Student Guide.
