Charts

Welcome to the Chart Gallery.

This gallery aims to provide you with a valuable reference of some of the common and useful chart types being used today. It will help you to decide how best to show what it is you want to say. The charts have been organized into five main families based on the primary data relationship you are trying to understand: Categorial, Hierarchical, Relational, Temporal and Spatial.

This gallery of charts is by no means an exhaustive list and certain charts do not just fit into a single family. All charts that belong to the hierarchical, relational, temporal and spatial families can include features of categorical breakdown, for instance. For the purposes of the gallery, the family groups have concentrated around the angle of analysis each chart primarily conveys.
