Abstract

This case study describes the research effort that resulted in publication of “An Ethnographic-Feminist Study of Jordanian Women’s Experiences of Domestic Violence and Process of Resolution” in 2013. The case study highlights strategies for conducting an interview-based study of vulnerable Middle Eastern women who have experienced intimate partner violence. Issues of cultural awareness, access, sampling, maintenance of confidentiality, interview technique, and benefits and challenges of cross-culture investigator triangulation are discussed.
