Mixed-Methods Intervention Research: A Study of the African American Student Network

Abstract

This case exemplifies intersections between research and practice to support racial and cultural diversity in school through mixed-methods intervention research focused on a support network for African American high school students. Qualitative and quantitative methods are discussed along with research ethics. In addition to discussing the research itself, I share how I came to develop this line of research and intervention, and some of the challenges I faced.
