Developing a Mixed-Methods Research Agenda on Medical Marijuana Policy

Abstract

This case study provides insights into what it looks like to expand a single paper on medical marijuana policy into a broader research agenda. It discusses the advantages of working with coauthors. It demonstrates how the original paper evolved from having a narrow focus based on previous literature into an imaginative and theoretically interesting paper. Finally, the author describes the process of developing a broader research agenda that engages with practitioners in the field.
