Positive pauses

Positive pauses can be less instinctive than those covered in the previous chapter, but you could make them a part of your writing routine and so increase the impact of your writing. They relate to a higher level of writing style than simply being able to convey information: they are about persuading your reader not just by the strength of your argument, but by the way in which you articulate that argument.
