Research Design
A Kolmogorov-Smirnov test looks at the frequency of occurrences across a set of categories and compares the observed distribution to some theoretical expected distribution. The logic works for the probability calculations if the dependent variable is, at least, ordinal because the analysis looks at cumulative frequency (which eventually adds up to 100% as one moves along the scores). Data are collected from one group of people (or things).
