The Linear Regression Model: Review

I assume that the reader is generally familiar with the normal linear regression model (along with the other regression models discussed in this monograph), but it is briefly described in this chapter, partly as a review, partly as a basis for developing the diagnostic methods discussed in subsequent chapters, and partly to establish notation. For more information, see the complementary readings suggested in Chapter 9.
