Audiencing: The Sixth Dialogical Movement
The narrative can be presented to its audience by being read or performed. Either way, the reflexive researcher invites the audience to dialogue with the narrative with a view that the audience members would reflect on the narrative and draw their own insights. As such, the reflexive narrative is much more than communicating the researcher’s own insights, interesting and informative as they might be. Just as drawing insights is a cocreation between researcher and guides, so is communicating these insights to its audience. In doing so, the researcher “tests” their insights in a wider field, deepening the hermeneutic spiral.
