What are Research Methods?
We conduct research using one of two predominant methods: quantitative and qualitative. This book explains research methods used in the quantitative approach—that is, numerical data, statistical estimation, and inference to population parameters. Quantitative research methods can be further broken down into experimental methods and correlation methods. The experimental method involves the manipulation of one or more independent variables in a controlled scientific study to determine the cause-and-effect outcome.
