Qualitative Research Methodology: A New Perspective
During the introduction to this part, we discussed how qualitative research methodologies are often used when researchers are interested in obtaining more authentic information about some phenomenon than that which would be available using more conventional quantitative techniques. The following article, reprinted with permission, discusses the context in which these new forms of research emerged and the promises and perils they present. This is an interesting look into the past along with some speculation about the future.
