Global Studies Research is a research methods textbook designed for interdisciplinary International Studies majors and their faculty. The textbook introduces interdisciplinarity, provides basic building blocks of relevant disciplinary knowledge, explains a process for integrating knowledge from multiple disciplines, and models this interdisciplinary International Studies Research Process in its presentation of the case studies.

Global Studies Research Process : Terrorism
Like the global HIV epidemic, terrorism is a complex global problem and another opportunity to learn the Global Studies research process. The integrated essay on causes of terrorism in Chapter 6 resulted from the process of first preparing, then gathering, comparing, and combining information and insights drawn from six disciplines. As in Chapter 5, in this chapter we remove and examine puzzle pieces and how we used them to build a completed puzzle picture. While Chapter 5 focused on the basic process, here in Chapter 7 I also highlight challenges and opportunities that can arise while undertaking the Global Studies research process.
