A pie chart is a visual representation of categorical data that uses sections within a circle (called slices) to represent frequencies of the different levels of a variable. To create a pie chart using Excel, follow these steps:

  • In a new worksheet, enter the categories as well as the number of times each category appears, as shown in the following table. Here we have data on the number sold of four models of automobile:
  • Highlight all the data.
