What Is a Column Chart, and How Can I Create One Using Excel?
A column chart is a visual representation of categorical data that uses vertically oriented bars to represent frequencies or values of the x-axis. To create a column chart using Excel, follow these steps:
- In a new worksheet, enter the categories as well as the number of times each category appears, as shown in the following table.
- Highlight all the data.
