In previous questions, we’ve discussed different ways to collect practical and meaningful data. Triangulation allows for different perspectives using multiple methods or data. Each result or perspective is verified with the purpose of converging on the truth with more confidence. Most importantly, relying on a single data source doesn’t paint the entire picture, and because reality is not fixed, it cannot be measured entirely in a positivist approach. Triangulation yields more accurate information when results of each measure converge on the same answer. Essentially, having multiple data sources increases the validity of your decisions.
