Skewness
Skewness is a measure of degrees of asymmetry in a distribution. A skewed unimodal distribution can have a longer tail either to the right side or the left side. If the mass of the distribution is concentrated on the left side and the longer tail is on the right side, then the distribution is referred to as skewed to the right or positively skewed; reversely, if the mass of the distribution is concentrated on the right side and the longer tail is on the left side, then it is referred to as skewed to the left or negatively skewed.
