Multicultural Validity

Multicultural validity is a construct used to describe the accuracy or authenticity of assessments and evaluative judgments across cultural differences. There is an emphasis on cultural awareness and attending to cultural issues and differences, specifically in terms of evaluation, in order to determine that valid assessments and judgments can be made. Validity lies at the core of evaluation to determine the extent to which empirical evidence and theoretical rationales support the accuracy of judgments or inferences made from test scores or other assessment methods.
