Authorship Bias

Academicians in any discipline, including communication studies, are held at a high standard when publishing their research and research findings. From the members whom they choose to include on their research team to the way they conduct their methodology and report their results, the research team as a whole is required to abide by ethical research standards. Many tenure-track academic teaching positions require that academicians publish numerous research studies each year to advance their career. Such pressure to publish can lead some scholars to engage in false or inaccurate research.
