Online social networks are Web-based networks created by a variety of individuals and organizations accessed through social network Web-based services such as Facebook and Instagram. The history of social network service goes back to 1997 when SixDegrees.com was launched. Since then, a variety of social networking services have become available, and online social networks are extremely prevalent in today’s society. For example, the most popular social networking site, Facebook, had more than 1.4 billion active users as of February 2015.
